8/30 Weekly Update

Your Fourthies have had an awesome first week of school!

I will update this class blog each week with important reminders and curriculum updates. There are helpful links on the side of the page as well as tabs with information along the top. One of the tabs explains what it means to be a carpool helper. This is a leadership opportunity offered to all Fourthies. Please complete this form so we know who is able to participate and who cannot. We will start carpool helpers next week! Those that sign up and want to participate will have many chances throughout the year.

*I can answer any questions and explain "Special Week" during Parent Night.*

We had a wonderful time at the GOLD/WHITE event today! There were fun events and pizza for everyone to enjoy! Check out some pictures in our google folder!

With your permission, I have encouraged the girls to bring in beloved books to share with our class. These would be returned at any point during the year. The girls may also donate books to our class library if you approve. They were very excited to talk about fun books that they want others to enjoy!

I wanted to let you know that our class chapel will be on Tuesday, September 17 in the Lower School Assembly Room at 8:15. We will provide a lesson on "Goodness" for our peers and friends in Lower School.

I look forward to seeing you at Parents' Night next Wednesday night, September 4.  This is the schedule for the evening:

  • 5-5:20 p.m. Remarks by Cindy Trask, Head of School and Dr. Annie Kapetanis, Head of Lower School and Early Childhood

First Day of School

We had a wonderful day! Your daughters are amazing young ladies!

We organized our supplies, began a Daisy personality trait mini-art project, and enjoyed seeing our friends!  If you need a challenge, ask your daughter what "Picture of the Day", "quick write", or "Word of the Day" means. 😉

We even learned how to raise and lower the flag.

Please make sure you visit the link to our class pictures. I have a folder for each month and often add photos throughout our day. This link will also be on the home page of our blog.

We will have an all school Gold/White picnic on Friday. The girls may wear their color on this day! There will be pizza for all students too.
