Curriculum Updates

Reading: We are continuing Bob. We are working on comprehension questions, vocabulary, and inferences with evidence. We have many predictions about Bob and how he came into Livy's life! We continue to devote time to read about December and holiday-themed books on EPIC. We are analyzing the vocabulary and examples of author techniques.

Math: We are practicing big number division. We will assess this math unit before break. This includes multiplication and division. These skills will be spiral reviewed throughout the remainder of the year.

Language Arts: We began to wrap up our progressive holiday/December themed narrative story. We are typing our story and designing some type of image or artwork that compliments the story. These will be on display in the hall for a bit.

Social Studies:We are continuing our newsletter to teach others about westward expansion in the United States in the 1800s.
