Don't forget to sign up for a spring conference visit! ______________________________________________________
Reading: We continue reading Number the Stars. The girls used PIXTON to create comic panels to summarize the story so far. The Wordly Wise passage this week taught us about Anne Frank. The girls were fascinated to learn more about her bravery and how it tied in with our novel.
Math: We are working on improper fractions and the conversion to mixed numbers. We are also adding and subtracting mixed numbers.
Language Arts: The girls interviewed an assigned fourthie and wrote a descriptive article. They used the peer's photograph to create a magazine-style cover to accompany the article. These will be on display in the hall for a bit before making their way home.
Social Studies: We are taking notes from the historical fiction novel Ranger: Long Road to Freedom. We are working towards a Civil War project "museum exhibit".
