This week's quote-of-the-week was "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud. "
Our class nominated Kara Bell after observing her helpfulness and kindness with others.
Curriculum Updates Paper folders came home today!
Check out the technology update from Mrs. Kortas!
Reading: We were able to enjoy reading a reader's theater script this week. We adapted the script lines to match our readers and even used some props. These are fun ways to practice fluency and presenting to peers. We will do more of these in between novels!
Math: We are continuing the multiplication and division unit. We are also reviewing addition in the form of solving a mystery. We enjoyed a few Halloween themed way to practice multiplication fluency and esti-mystery skills!
Language Arts: This week we crafted vivid sentences using our Wordly Wise words, daily vocabulary, and spelling words. Our gallery read of our classmates Haunted House stories was a great success!
Social Studies: We created "I Am" poems about something that we feel needs change or support. A "person" was made with clothing that supports that cause. These are hanging in the hall with their poems. Next week, we will begin our Westward Expansion unit.
