10/25 Weekly Update

This week's quote-of-the-week was "Step out of the box. Chart your own course.
Leave a mark on our world "
Our class nominated Ruby Sewell after observing how creative and passionate she is with so many things!

Curriculum Updates

Reading: We completed our reading of James and the Giant Peach. We worked on a comprehension check for understanding of the main events and themes of the story.

Math: We began a unit on multiplication and division. While we work on these lessons, we are also spending time on fact fluency games, and an addition mystery to solve to review our previous unit.

Language Arts:  We finished up our "Haunted House For Sale" booklet and artwork and will share in a gallery style walk through in class.

Social Studies:  To complete the women/s suffrage movement, we are creating "I Am" poems about something that we feel needs change or support.  A "person" will be created with clothing that supports that cause. These will be hanging in the hall with their poems.
