Reading: We continue our reading of James and the Giant Peach. We are working on the skills of recognizing and analyzing character traits with evidence.
Math: We wrapped up our addition/subtraction/estimation unit with our test. This will come home in the next set of papers.
Language Arts: This week we finished our persuasive booklet about a haunted house for sale. We also worked on our letter of reflection to share at conferences.
Social Studies: We learned more about the women's suffrage movement. The girls were asked to think about what they are passionate about.....what do they feel needs change or support? Next week, this will be used to create an "I am" poem as though they are a champion for that cause. After creating this, a "person" will be created with clothing that supports that cause. These will be hanging in the hall with their poems.
